Installing the APK

Holdline is not distributed through the Play Store, so Android will ask you to confirm the install once. That prompt is expected.

1. Tap Download for Android above.
2. Open the downloaded file, from the notification or your Downloads folder.
3. When Android asks, allow installs from this source, then tap Install.
4. Open Holdline and join the field's Wi-Fi network when you arrive.

Android 8.0 or newer. There is no iOS version. If your phone blocks the install, check that you have space free and that Play Protect is not set to block unknown apps.

Installing on a PC

The Windows download is a small fetcher, not the installer itself. Run it and it pulls the installer down, checks it, and leaves it beside itself.

1. Click Download for Windows above. Your browser will warn you about a .cmd file; choose Keep.
2. Put it in an empty folder, then double-click it. If Windows SmartScreen appears, choose More info, then Run anyway.
3. Wait while it downloads. It reports each part, joins them, and verifies the result before telling you it is done.
4. Run the HoldlineSetup file it produced. That is the actual installer.

Windows 10 or newer. Re-running the fetcher is always safe. It refuses to hand you the installer if the download did not verify, so if it reports a mismatch, just run it again.

The app is only useful on a field running Holdline hardware. It needs the field's Wi-Fi network to connect; it does not use mobile data during a game.

The PC download carries the player app and the configurator together. Installing over an existing copy keeps your Sounds, GamePresets and Maps folders; uninstalling removes them.
